Ulf Hansen, since 1987 Shipping Merchant - “Schifffahrtskaufmann” and after his education starting professionally in his apprenticeship firm, he followed soon his grandfather’s steps embarking on a two year adventure to Brasil, where he worked his way through multiple projects as a trainee.

Returning to the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, his responsibility for a Liner export service in a shipping agency followed as well as working as Sales- & Purchase Broker.
In the years between 1992 and 1995, Ulf took up the academic studies/grade of Macro Economics at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Politik (School of Economics and Politics), while continuing to actively pursue the connection to global industries and collecting experiences in the marketing- and advertising sector.
After positions in a variety of international companies he was rewarded with full team- respectively profit & loss responsibility in 2000.
The years leading up to the founding of Hansen Development were dominated by intense times as Managing Director in Germany and South-East Asia, including regional management, board membership in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, as well as project management for Newbuildings of a service- and logistic center in Singapore and a paint factory in Malaysia.
The return to Hamburg in 2013 was followed by further top management activities including Global Key Account Management „at its best“ with HQ in Copenhagen.
The past twenty years have been defined by cyclic markets, modernization, strategy, efficiency increases, change management, re-structuring of companies, various effectiveness projects, motivation of teams and the early recognition of determining market movements.
